Is Product Reviews & Rewards really free?
Yes, the Basic plan is completely free with no time limit. It includes unlimited product reviews, unlimited review request emails, photo and video reviews, import from other apps, and the review widget on product pages.
The Pro plan ($29/month) adds features like review boxes on homepage and collection pages, highlight badges, unlimited automated reward emails, and the ability to reply to reviews. You can start with the Basic plan and upgrade to Pro anytime you need additional features. There are no hidden fees or initial setup costs.
Can I import reviews from my previous review app?
Yes. The app supports importing reviews via CSV file, so you don’t lose any existing data when switching to Product Reviews & Rewards. Simply export your reviews as a CSV from your previous app, then upload the file directly in the Import Reviews screen.
Does the app support exporting reviews?
Currently, our app only supports the Import feature to bring reviews into your store. The Export feature for extracting review data is not available at the moment. However, our development team is actively working on this functionality and will release it in an upcoming update to provide you with a more seamless experience.
Will I lose my reviews if I uninstall the app?
No. All your review data remains safely stored on your store backend and will not be deleted if you uninstall the app. When the app is removed, the reviews will only temporarily stop displaying on your live storefront. As soon as you reinstall the app, all previous reviews will automatically resync and appear on your website again exactly as they were, without requiring any reconfiguration.
How do automated review requests work?
The app automatically sends review request emails to customers a set number of days after their order is fulfilled. You can customize the delay (for example, 7 days after delivery), personalize the email template, and choose which products trigger review requests. Emails are sent automatically based on the order’s fulfillment status, ensuring customers have received their products before being asked to review.
Can customers upload photos and videos with their reviews?
Yes, both plans allow customers to upload photos and videos when submitting reviews. Visual reviews increase trust and conversion rates by showing your products in real-world use.
Research shows that reviews with photos or videos have 3-4 times higher conversion rates than text-only reviews. Customers can upload multiple photos at once, and videos help showcase products more dynamically.
What are automated reward email?
Automated reward emails send discount codes to customers who leave reviews. You can choose to reward all reviewers or only those who leave 5-star ratings, helping incentivize high-quality feedback.
Rewards can be fixed-value or percentage discount codes applied to the customer’s next order. This strategy not only helps collect more reviews but also encourages customers to return and purchase again, increasing customer lifetime value.
Where will the review widget appear on my store?
On the Basic plan, the review widget displays on product pages. The Pro plan adds review widgets to your homepage and collection pages, giving you more opportunities to showcase customer feedback throughout your store.
The review widget automatically integrates into your theme and displays in the optimal position on product pages (usually below product information). On homepage and collection pages (Pro plan), you can choose to display featured reviews, overall star ratings, or a recent reviews carousel. The widget is fully responsive and works smoothly on both desktop and mobile, ensuring the best experience for customers on all devices.
Can I moderate reviews before they go live?
Yes. The app includes a moderation feature that lets you review and approve (or reject) submissions before they are published on your store. This helps you maintain content quality and filter out irrelevant or spammy reviews.
Can I customize how the review widget looks on my store?
Yes. The Widget Customization screen gives you a live preview of exactly how reviews will appear to your customers on both desktop and mobile. You can choose how media is displayed (e.g., thumbnail size) and toggle the reviews summary section that shows an aggregate snapshot of your product’s ratings.
The customer-facing submission form, including the star rating, title, media upload, and review text fields, is also fully visible in the preview so you can see the complete experience before going live. All changes are reflected instantly, so there’s no guesswork involved.
Can I display which product was reviewed?
Yes, the Pro plan includes a feature that displays the specific variant (like size or color) that was purchased and reviewed, helping shoppers find feedback relevant to their intended purchase.
This feature is especially useful for products with many variations like clothing (different sizes fit differently), footwear (size charts), or products with multiple colors. Customers can filter reviews by the variant they’re considering, helping them make more accurate purchase decisions. For example: if they want to buy size M in red, they can see reviews specifically from people who bought that exact variant.
Is the app compatible with all Shopify themes?

Yes. The Track email opens & clicks feature is available on both plans, letting you monitor open rates and click-through rates to evaluate the effectiveness of your review request campaigns.
What are Badges and how do they work?
Badges are visual labels attached directly to review cards to categorize and highlight standout reviews. The app includes default badges such as Photo Review (auto-assigned to reviews with photos or videos), Most Helpful (auto-assigned when a review receives 10 or more helpful votes), and Highlight (manually assigned by the merchant).
You can also create custom badges with a name, icon (30+ emoji options), and a color of your choice, with a live preview shown as you edit. Badges can be assigned automatically via rules or applied manually, making it easy for shoppers to identify the most trustworthy and relevant reviews.
