Introduction

From June 19, 2026, EU law requires online sellers to provide an electronic withdrawal function. Our Shopify EU Widerruf Button app helps you implement this requirement easily and compliantly, with a ready-to-use withdrawal button, form, and confirmation flow built directly into your store.

⚙️ How it works

The app embeds a legally compliant withdrawal button into your storefront. When customers click the button, they are guided through a simple 2-step withdrawal flow:

  1. Enter order details (order number + email required)
  2. Confirm and submit the withdrawal request

After submission:

  • A confirmation email is automatically sent
  • A PDF copy is generated for the customer
  • The request is saved in your admin logs (UTC time)

📌 Where it shows

Here are typical positions where merchants can place the Widerrufsbutton on ecommerce websites:

  • Footer (Fußbereich)
  • Header / Navigation (Kopfbereich)
  • Rechtliches-Seite (z. B. Widerrufsbelehrung, AGB)
  • Kontaktseite
  • Kundenkonto / Bestellübersicht
  • Bestelldetailseite im Kundenkonto
  • Hilfe- / FAQ-Seite
  • Order tracking page / Sendungsverfolgung (Shopify Order Status page)

👀 Showcase

Each store places the button differently depending on their theme and setup, for example, on the product page, footer, or customer account area.
